Who We are

Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery (C2R2) is committed to building a resilient, inclusive Canadian economy by expanding access to cutting-edge training, applied research, and demonstration projects that engage the workforce, support industry, and accelerate innovation.

C2R2 is a pan-Canadian coalition of 15 colleges, cégeps, and polytechnics dedicated to bridging the skills gap for a resilient recovery. Our members have the expertise and agility to deliver impactful training programs and applied research that support energy security and sustainability.

With members and engaged institutions spanning almost every region of Canada, C2R2 operates from coast to coast to coast. Our network ensures a national reach with local impact, fostering connections between postsecondary institutions, industry partners, and communities to drive workforce development and economic growth.

What We Do

Our Impact

National Training Deployment
From late 2022 to early 2024, C2R2 leveraged Government of Canada funding to deliver skills training programs across the country, reaching a national audience and attracting private-sector investment.

Operations


With Mohawk College as the Coordinating Secretariat, C2R2 has built robust administrative, financial, and reporting structures that enable rapid program implementation with minimal overhead.

Proven Collaboration
Since 2020, C2R2 has forged deep relationships with postsecondary institutions and industry partners across Canada, acting as a nexus for workforce development and innovation.
Adaptable Training Models
C2R2 members utilize microcredentials, industry-driven training and innovative pedagogical approaches to ensure that training remains relevant and accessible on a national scale.

C2R2’s administration and secretariat are based in Hamilton, Ontario, at Mohawk College, ensuring seamless coordination and program execution at a national scale.
